Festivals and Events in Phuket ThailandPhuket Festivals and Events in 2012, celebrated in phuket are the following, in case you should have the time to enjoy one of them. Chinese New Year, this year it’s on the 23rd of January, The Wat Chalong Fair also starts on this date and goes on until the 29th. Old Phuket Festival is celebrated on 28th and 29th of January. In February you have The Bay Regatta, 1st – 5th of February, in Phang Nga Bay. Phuket International Blues Rock Festival is on between the 24th until the 25th. In the month of March you have Phuket International Marine Expo (PIMEX) 1st of March untill 1st of April, at the Royal Phuket Marina. The Thao Thepkasattri-Thao Suntorn Festival sometime in March.

Phuket is approximately 536 miles (863km) south of Bangkok, and covers an area of approximately 543 square kilometres (210sqmi) excluding small islets.

Festivals and Events in Phuket ThailandIn April we kick off with Phuket Bike Week April 6-8 in Patong Beach, then roll on with Songkran festival 13-15 April. In June Phuket host the 2012 Laguna Phuket International Marathon on 10th of June, at Bangtao Beach. In July you have Phuket Race Week on the 18-22nd of July. August brings us Por Tor Festival, and in September the Phuket Vegetarian Festival. November is the month when Loy Kratong Festival is celebrated on the 28th, Laguna Phuket Triathlon will also be held during this month. In December Phuket King’s Cup Regatta is held on Kata Beach, and Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship at Laguna Beach Resort.

That pretty much makes up what is going on this year. If you have the chance you should visit during the Songkran Festival or Phuket Vegetarian Festival.
